A study on a national survey by he University of Indiana has found a recurring pattern of four specific techniques that were never really explained before.
The research team gave terms for each technique to help women identify and communicate what feels best to them as follows:
- Angling
- Pairing
- Rocking
- Shallowing
1. Angling
Angling refers to rotating, raising, or lowering pelvis and hips during penetration to adjust where inside the vagina a sex toy or penis rubs. 87% of respondents used this technique to achieve their climax during sexual activities.
2. Pairing
Pairing refers to stimulating clitoris with a finger or sex toy simultaneously with penetration. 69% of respondents used this technique to achieve their climax during sexual activities.
3. Rocking
Rocking refers to rubbing clitoris constantly during penetration by staying all the way inside the vagina rather than thrusting in and out; it is usually used when a woman is on top. 76% of respondents used this technique to achieve their climax during sexual activities.
4. Shallowing
Shallowing refers to penetrative touch inside the entrance of the vagina. 84% of respondents used this technique to achieve their climax during sexual activities.
